Ron Thomas is a Director in the Talent and HR Solutions practice at Buck Consultants (A Xerox Company). He will be leading and selling global talent planning and talent engagement initiatives while also directing the practice new media approach. He will also direct the social media output for the practice.

Ron’s background spans many industries, including technology, media, publishing, banking, insurance, and IT consulting. HR Examiner ranks him in the top 25 among both talent-management influencers and human resources influencers.

He is a member of Harvard Business Advisory Council, McKinsey Quarterly Executive Online Panel, and the Human Capital Institute’s expert advisory panel on Talent Management Strategy as well as Aberdeen Research Council.

He is certified by the Human Capital Institute as a Master Human Capital Strategist (MHCS) and Strategic Workforce Planner (SWP). He is also a Faculty Member

Prior to joining Buck, He was the principal consultant at Strategy Focused HR. He has consulted with many clients in publishing, media and the entertainment sector.

His work has been featured in INC. Magazine, Wall St. Journal, Crain’s New York Business, Canadian Business, Workforce Management and Chief Learning Officer Magazine.

He has held senior level roles in publishing and technology. He was the former VP Human Resources/OD at Martha Stewart Living, serving on the board of her personal foundation. Prior to that role he was a senior executive at IBM Global Learning Services.
